Who is in charge
informativespeechideas.com runs on its own and decides what it records. Privacy questions and requests go to hello@informativespeechideas.com.
The topic finder
The audience, time limit and subjects you choose are matched against the ideas by code in your own browser tab. Nothing about those choices is sent or saved.
What we count
The site never asks who you are. It does count a few things so we can tell which parts help: a page view, the page that linked you here, how far you scrolled, whether the audience question came into view and which app link you used. Each count carries your browser language, operating system, screen and window size, time zone and a random ID stored in your browser. Your IP address is turned into a rough location and is not kept in full.
Who processes the counts
This site's own server passes the counts to an analytics provider that stores them in the European Union. We use them for nothing except improving this page, and we never sell them or share them with advertisers.
Browser storage
There are no cookies. The site keeps the random ID, a session marker, your light or dark choice and, if you dismiss it, a flag that keeps the bottom strip hidden. Blocking the counting script leaves every feature working.
The app links
Each app link goes to /topic-trial on this site, which checks only your browser's user agent. Android devices are passed on to the Confidently listing on Google Play, with the link's spot on the page added as a referrer; every other device is passed on to the App Store. Nothing about this hop is logged. In the store, Apple's or Google's terms and the app's own privacy policy apply.
Removing your data
Email us to have the counts tied to your random ID deleted. Clearing this site's storage in your browser also ends that link immediately, since we have no idea who you are.
